MAISON & OBJET JANUARY 2023 EDITION THEME "Take Care"

Each year, the Maison & Objet fair, held twice a year, focused on themes that center around our care for each other, our environment, nature, and our craft and cultural heritage sensitivities. The January 2023 edition was held under the theme "Take Care." Various brands, designers, architects, and artists showcased their designs created around the values of the "Take Care" theme.

Here is a selection compiled from the Maison & Objet January 2023 edition.

Raphael Navot's project, The Apothem Lounge, designed for the Maison & Objet January 2023 fair, is an installation that brings together light, sound, and textures to evoke different emotions. Conceived as a circular lounge, the design creates a rich experience for visitors. The Apothem Lounge was developed as an open architectural structure. In a space that allows both freedom and privacy, visitors can experience silence, comfort, and light.

Elizabeth Leriche's "In The Air" trend area invites visitors to pause and take a breath. Presented in the context of the "Take Care" theme, "In The Air" creates a conscious and sustainable sanctuary in a world where ecological and climatic conditions shape the agenda. It offers visitors an experience consisting of three stages: after breathing in clean air in the first area, characterized by transparency and lightness, they enter a meditative atmosphere dominated by slow design; the final area, with its bright and colorful design, imagines a new world.

At the PLANET PULPO booth, featuring designs by Sebastian Herkner and Sylvain Willenz, visitors get to experience the atmosphere of the Pulpo world. The designs are showcased on a black and white cubic surface at the center of the fairground. One of the notable designs on display is "Samsa," created by Sebastian Herkner for Pulpo. This lighting design, made from recycled aluminum, stands out not only for its functionality and aesthetics but also for its emphasis on sustainable material use.

Galerie Kreo's exhibition, "New Beginnings," presents various living space typologies such as living rooms, dining areas, and relaxation spaces. The spaces feature a mix of contemporary and classic furniture designed by globally renowned designers and architects.

Vintage designs by Sergio Asti, Gérard Guermonprez, Florence Knoll, Pierre Paulin, Alain Richard, and Marco Zanuso are showcased alongside contemporary works by Edward Barber, Jay Osgerby, Guillaume Bardet, François Bauchet, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, Jean-Baptiste Fastrez, Front, Jaime Hayon, Hella Jongerius, Alessandro Mendini, Brynjar Sigurdarson, and Studio Wieki Somers.

Paintings created by Ronan Bouroullec, Erwan Bouroullec, and Pierre Charpin bring dynamism to the spaces, while classic lighting designs by Elisabeth Garouste and Mattia Bonetti, Pierre Guariche, Gaetano Scolari, Gino Sarfatti, and Vittoriano Vigano transform the areas into vibrant living spaces.
