The lifestyle trends 2018-19 systematic developed by the renowned trend forecasting agency Nelly Rodi which is taking the attitude as the defining parameter was taken as the basis. According to this, lifestyle trends were analyzed in four different areas: the Pathfinders built on the basis of tradition, the Solutionists built on the basis of emotion, the Luxocrates built on the basis of expression and the contemporaries built on the basis of reason.
Each trend area was explained with its concept, keywords, colour palette and reflections for various design fields. After this, ‘key takeaways’ were defined and shared with the audience in order to show the relevance of each trend area in the near future.
The Pathfinder is creating space and time experiences, using basics of physics to create digital effects. The key takeaway is; "Design transforms like energy does."
The Solutionist is turning back to self-awareness, adapting hedonism into lifestyle via positive values such as flexibility, nomadism and fluidity by using aquatic and green resources. The key takeaway is; "High and low tech merges and Designer turning into a communicator."
The Luxocrates are taking mood on the stage of everything and creating blurred realities. The key takeaway is; "Product and designer evolve to a platform."
The Contemporaries are creating self-manifests by being modular, silent and simple. The key takeaway is; "Online and offline experiences unite."
