Equal Spaces, a multi-disciplinary project covering city planning, architecture, design and other creative fields, aims to create new dialogues and collaborations with partners from Sweden and Turkey, common production for knowledge transfer and innovative solutions.
Within the scope of 'Equal Spaces', a content including exhibitions, workshops, lab studies, speeches and other participatory activities was planned in the cities of Istanbul and Izmir in the fall of 2018. By taking a holistic approach, the project aims to bring together different actors in the city, including creative professionals, institutions, students, commercial organizations and citizens, to improve the quality of life and thus create a positive impact on society. This work is shaped under the titles of creative, smart and inclusive cities.

The creative sector supports development, innovation and inclusive approaches in urban areas. Thanks to 'disruptive thinking', alternative entrepreneurship models that will support quality of life, sustainability and social cohesion emerge.
Smart cities, on the other hand, offer environment and climate-friendly technologies with innovation and digitalization. Following a participatory city policy ensures better use of human capital and creating more democratic social platforms. Accessibility, gender equality, social and ecological sustainability issues will be discussed under the title of inclusive cities.
