"By repurposing the waste packaging of the Samsung Eco-package project and providing a new and creative playground for everyone, it offers an inspiring experience that aligns with the Onaranlar Kulübü's motivation to develop dialogue between the city and its people."
As part of the Samsung Eco-Package project, the Onaranlar Kulübü has developed an environmentally friendly and playful approach to public space furniture, which promotes social interaction on the streets.
The Onaranlar Kulübü focuses on creative projects that emphasize repair, production, and sharing, fostering dialogue between the city and its people.
Especially after the pandemic, our practices of socializing in public spaces like streets, parks, and waterfronts have changed. In line with this, the Onaranlar Kulübü has designed a temporary public space where people can come together and feel good. When two modular designs come together, they create a mini public space. This space can transform into a table, a lounge chair, or a seating unit with a simple movement mechanism.
Furthermore, the Onaranlar Kulübü aimed to achieve the most efficient results by using the curves of the Samsung television boxes without generating any waste during the production process. They also maintained an environmentally friendly approach by using waste cardboard from the production process for the modules' structural support.
